My wife works for a hotel management company and they are trying to find out if Washington’s lock down shuts them down or not. If it does they have to kick people who are staying in them out.

Inslee’s speech did seem a little vague and non-committal, especially given the amount of the virus seen here . These things need to be spelled out specifically.

He kept referring to “essential” business but that needs a clear definition. There is also confusion on other things. There’s an exemption for accounting and payroll processing companies but nothing about internal payroll people who work directly for companies. So my wife, who is the controller at her company, doesn’t know if she is supposed to go in to pay bills and do payroll or not.

It’s almost like either it needs to be locked down completely aside from food/fuel/medical etc, or just give “suggestions” and not do more. A wishy washy middle ground might not help matters much.
I also liked the attempt at telling people not to hoard. Stores need to enact strict limits, and if customers balk, boom, they get trespassed - the customer is not always right.

Damn, that sucks. But understandable.

Hotels.com. We don’t need it right now.
